Robbie Takes a Dip in the North Sea
To Hornsea with Robbie for lots of fun Water’s cold, but in he goes; Then Dad dives in to splash his son, But loudly yells as now he froze! He’d doffed his clothes; in briefest of pants He jumps and shouts and splashes about; But now distressed, without a glance, Splashing and shivering Dad jumps out. Never again, if truth will tell, Will Dad jump in and boldly splash His son in freezing North Sea swell, But out they come, in such a dash! Robbie, standing tall so proudly, Dad, so numb, embarrassed and freezing, Mummy, Nana laughing loudly, “Come on Dad, I’m only teasing”. And what’s the moral of this story? Trust your undies do not turn Crystal clear in all their glory If to duck your son you yearn. Note: the North Sea off the coast of Yorkshire is very cold even at the height of summer ----- so be warned!!!!

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
