Clouds over the Wolds
THE GRASS is cool; upon my back I lie - Across the Wolds sail clouds so white; A convoy floating through a sky so blue. Clouds so graceful, serene and bright. I hear a lark ascend - at peace am I, I close my eyes, I see no more; The lark now silent; a heavenly calm descends, I sigh – such joy – my soul restore. In faith I see beyond the clouds and sky - Of heaven’s wonders that never cease; Across unbound eternal time and space My mind and heart and soul find peace. Aware, I am, of realms beyond the sky, Th’eternal cosmic ocean of space; Joy unbound by mortal life so frail, Unbound and free through God’s good grace. Is this a truly heavenly sight I see As dimly through a darkened glass? Is it that we, like clouds, are destined to be Merely day-time shadows that pass? The grass is cool; upon my back I lie - Across the Wolds sail clouds so white; A convoy floating through a sky so blue. Clouds so graceful, serene and bright.

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
