I remember 
…………………the moments of no worries shared
A perfect day it became
Under the sun we chuckled and shared equal breath
As we listened to the birds serenating our hearts
Their songs took us beyond this life
The clear skies beheld us in admiration
As if giving permission to this forbidden encounter
Gazing her face, her skin shows glow
Reflecting the simile of the sun

Laid my head on her chest 
Her heartbeat was melodic
No words shared only music in our hearts
Can I not save this moment?

A soldier is not for love
But for war 
Yet I took time away from role
To fall for a heroine from another land

Along the river we strolled 
Carrying our love for the wildlife to see
I prayed for a miracle
Prayed for time to be still
Prayed for her to be mine
