Words too common leave me bored
Poetic language now ignored,
For every thought is now a song
But to groups we all belong,
Those who fly higher than the sky
Those who brings cliches to die,
And those who bring their journals in
Thinking it's a poetic win. 

So add three dots to create a pause
Wear more bands for another cause,
And watch poetic merit bleed
And basic lyrical boredom freed.

There's only so much you can contemplate
Causing the generic to dominate,
So bring forward your best in word
And let banality not be heard.
