Double-edge sword

01 Jul 2009

hellfire
why do we wield
these
double edge swords:
one side, jagged
eagerly swung
with caustic words
defiling, dripping
upon our fragile souls
left these crooked scars
bleeding
for eternity
the other ,
blunt ( force trauma)
pristine-blue
barely glistening
covered in dust
lingering
exhausted by will,
capacity or deed
why do we wield
these
double-edged swords
If our grips are
flawed, rooted
in cowardice…
