Dual Senses

23 Dec 2009

With a cry, I drew breath
a sign, avoided death.
With tongue, I learnt taste,
a joy, now laid to waste.
With eyes, I saw
colors, visions, ever since began to thaw.
With mine nose, I smelt pleasure
those nuances, now in memory I treasure.
With fine ears, I would hear, a chirp, a stream
a melody dear. Thunder, scream
a silence I fear.
With skin I felt, a caress, a kiss swiftly delt.
The bite of cold, the searing pyre
within which my senses melt.
