Days of Lilac

07 May 2010

hellfire
even if, I should reside
here
for eternity
among
dank shadows,
my light will not fade
my heart, not silenced
but, hopeful
in its strength,
for it is drawn
from
the youthful embers
of yesterday
like a pebble to a pond
with hasty ripples
it stirs,
the scented memories
the blissful visions
of you,
of lilac days
gently spilling
upon the face of dusk
when
you came to me
with a step, so soft
and
passionate needs
hinting,
from your scarlet lips
your breath
etched,
upon my brow
your silhouette
burned
into the sacred paintings
that hangs so lusciously
upon the night sky
against the moon, unsheathed
and me, forever
enamored
by the beauty
that is you
forever, haunting me.
and as I relish
each moment,
I swear
that
should I die,
it would not be
in vain
for I have dwelled
among celestial plains
where,
even
Gods did pray
surely
a stranger to love
I could not be
I await you, here
my dear
for all eternity…
