Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Sir Winston Churchill

At Peace

Some things cannot be written down, Like tonight. A full moon glowing through a misty sky, As lonely as I feel sometimes. No wonder dogs are howling and crickets calling for company, Everyone needs somebody to hold and love. Sometimes life does not feel real, Emotion is dead. There is no feeling, no bitter wind swirling through the tree tops so high and far away. As distant as that lonely truck on the highway, Roaring into the darkness Some things cannot be expressed or shown, Like the love I’m willing to give, Or sacrifices to be taken, But as I sit here surrounded by this eerie light, I don’t feel alone or scared. Nights like this don’t come often.
