The Riddle
(Based on The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown)
It was never easy to hide in cryptogram
All the religious beliefs of the Pagan;
Nor to hide the story of Lady Magdalene,
Behind the Renaissance Palace by Roslyn.

Harvard professor of religious symbology,
The inquisitive eyes of Sophie and Marie,
Could decipher the meaning of Solomon’s seal;
Star of David, perfect union of male and female

In the crisp April air love seeds blown,
Cupid’s arrow hit Sophie and Langdon;
Love’s fruit shaken, code was broken,
The blade and chalice together woven.

Is it the search of science and religion?
Establish the truth beyond all reason;
Science and religion were never at odds,
Science may be younger to understand..

Author Note:--Character taken –Professor Langdon
Guided by the inscription on the Holy Grail:--
“The Holy Grail ‘neath ancient Roslyn waits
The Blade and Chalice guarding o’er the gates
Adored in Master’s loving art, She lies
She rests at last beneath the starry skies.”
