And stayed though I showed broken me,
And stayed though I deserved to leave
For fool’s a worthless soul.
I weaped, another man I grieved,
And past held present’s face deceived,
And in love’s truth no longer believed
For fate had left me cold.
Through occasions you held on,
And lover’s old though never gone,
And insecurities growing strong,
For fool, or fate, or fault?
