Cried!
Cried as an infant, long ago, way back when, Cried when pants dusted...just now and then! Cried at most tales with no happy ending; Cried at all things remotely heart-rending! Cried with joy, we were so much in love; Cried with spirit uplifted, to heaven above! Cried, deeply moved, as you took my name; Cried when recalling of what us became! Cried thinking back on our married life, Cried...happy mem'ries, then deep, bitter strife! Cried on the day when our union dissolved; Cried...stubborn folk with nothing resolved! Cried that sunny morn when you wed again; Cried as I wished you great joy without pain! Cried for that something inside me that died; Cried...no more crying, for all tears have now dried!
