I'm older now
the background on the canvas
that is my life
is being filled in
a light blue
broad strokes
I love to watch the ocean
the wave moves constant
through bitter storm
and silent calm
until it ends
upon the shore
for me to witness
Ah...the great mystery
what all of mankind desperately
ultimately
and unknowingly seek
the contented soul
