LOVE & PAIN (DORISIMBRA)
LOVE & PAIN (DORISIMBRA) I won’t take birth in your lap, Mother Earth, since I can’t add beauty to mind and soul; What purpose will it serve in adding birth? I can’t fight oppression to reach my goal. Birds sing songs in blue sky, Flowers fragrance to wind; Rivers’ ripples quench thirst, I failed to add my voice. Just leading a life without a purpose, Neither in family, nor as a sage, Quieten with age, yet love’s river not shared; I won’t take birth in your lap, Mother Earth. rajkumar@kolkata 28-03-2013 By Rajkumar, © 2013, All rights reserved. → Show additional poem info Author notes How to write a Dorisimbra: Stanza one: four lines of Shakespearean sonnet (iambic pentameter rhymed abab).
