A French Rose

I've waited long and hard,
Feelings overbearing,
News overheard,
Heart screaming,
Temporally stopped from bleeding.

Beats out of sequence,
Adjustments needed,
Breath at a fatal pause,
Subconscious aware,
Paid no attention as it begged and it pleaded.

Time slow mode,
Voice at a first octave C
Longest five seconds key,
Everything else blued as though not seen.

Sudden jolt to chest,
Beats once again felt,
Blood at its normal pace,
Finally this feeling at a passing stage.
