Stars
I sit alone, looking at the stars, looking at them with the eyes of a child the wonder that comes with the cosmos overwhelms me and once again I am innocent. Wanting answers to questions not spoken yet. I am a tired man, the wrinkles cut through my face like a river in a canyon, but I look at the stars and I am young again. I look for wonder, I look for truth, and I find them in the nothingness above. We will fade away as the stars do above. I find comfort in knowing we are the same that way.
