hypnotized

there
in the pause
somewhere between sleep and awake
between night and dawn
the shadows move
and the voices begin 
is it in my head
or just another reality
am I home or just visiting
what is real and what is imagination

I drop like a sack of potatoes 
off the back of a truck
and hit the mattress
felt like a dream 
had me hypnotized
