if I listen long enough 
I'd tell myself this doesn't matter,
no matter how hard I try
no matter how much I do

laughter fled with darkened brooms
where quiet times remained
whispers outside those angry thoughts
following words you'd say,
and always at the wrong time
when love tried so hard

were you blind
or simply would not see
this energy sublime
and now,
my journey, I do wonder at times
if there were other doors for me
paths that led to happiness
