the garden of Eve

Deckard
as with the others
you rarely spoke of your garden with me
and here you are
at all hours
watering and trimming weeds
cupping a rose lovingly in your delicate hand
and closing your eyes to savor it's scent
why would you not share this beauty,
your creation?
I did not choose to leave you, my love
and the endless days and nights I spend
here in your garden
awaiting your return
is where I choose to remain
this is where we all choose to remain
until the day we grow weary of our broken souls
and whisper in the ear of a love stricken comrade
'dig up the garden'
