Tide
I see the patterns, feel the tides, Like millions of grains of sand Following the slow drifting of a dune People cast aside their minds Becoming something they're not Just to follow the group Why? As the moon's relentless pull Cycles onwards, passing again Through its many phases, The constant motion of the tide sets in, What was once, long forgotten, A life lost to a character played too long Why do so many lose themselves? So much is missed, experiences passed up By denying yourself on the word of one Who has long since lost himself, Find Yourself, live Your life, Swim against the tide, Enjoy what you've been missing

Mental Journey
I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
