Mirrored Lies

I found myself outside myself
in the middle of a silent scream
where black is white
up is down
and you,
are nothing but lies

I told myself 
this could never happen to me
for I was far too advanced
to be dissuaded by deceit

lackadaisical linguistics ran right through 
and captured our dreams of forever
and always,
there could never be another
for we had found our other half

all we had to do now
was believe.
