Moving Day
The only constant is change- this, a fundamental truth carrying us through transitions, transformations, oftentimes upheavals- all the time knowing that the opposite is stagnation (never good.) Movement equals life as with migrating monarchs, wildebeests'' wanderings- all of us engaged in a laborious trek, journeying towards the new, the frequently unknown. Necessity is our launch a seeking for something better, a place to rest- somewhere called home. And I can envision wagon ruts still visible, across the plains, and I am aware of cultural diasporas, history's repeated human exodus- the myriad travails of a gypsy soul. Though sometimes belongings are simply packed into a van or a truck, and we change locales (a venturing forth still) full of possibility, though tiring and stressful too, we move pull up stakes- settle in once more.
