Oh, Little Greenfly
Oh, little greenfly, oh, so frail! Perfect a creature, that I vow; In the breeze you gently sail, ‘Pon a leaf you settle now. Oh, little mote, a speck I swear! Up you look, and what d’you see? A ladybird friend I do declare, Pretty little creature, creeping up the tree. Oh little beetle, vile you are! My dear wee kitling in your claws; A tasty meal so damn bizarre, Chewed and chewed in your jaws. Where now my pretty speck, no more? To aphidoidean realms, I’m sure…. For our American friends, a 'ladybird' is, I think. a 'ladybug', the ladybird is. of course. a beetle; 'aphidoidean' is the family of aphids of which greenflies are a member.

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
