Lily Asylum

15 Nov 2019

Surue
A burial to enjoy
A colorful display
Somewhere a chorus
Shrieks, "Come what may!"

A motley band of ticks
And images and dates
Grand and deadly
They have sealed my fate

Feet leave the pavement
A forgivable departure
We're bred to endure
The blood of the martyr

But if to drown is to float
And if I wash up on your island
Would you walk me back
To my Lily Asylum?
