Failure? ... Or not?

The inevitable,
what was doomed
for failure
from the very
beginning...
a marriage,
job,
relationship-
any venture,
these,
your broken
dreams...
Things that you
entered
into
either confused,
reluctant
lost and resigned,
or were you
enthusiastic,
headstrong?

And,
the " I told you sos."
and, " You're smarter than that."
followed by
your own
self- guilt.

But no,
this is " experience"
after all,
( a "lesson")
and you've emerged,
survived
- a metamorphosis
surely,
reborn
as a phoenix
rising from mere
ash.

So
no,
do not chalk
things up
as regret-
give it closure,
and then...
move on.
