Autumn is Here (A Sonnet for T----)
Autumn leaves now flutter in the breeze, From above they gently waft and glide; The soft Autumnal airs delight and please - A season of change enchants the countryside. Across the vale a pair of kites I see, High above the Wolds they circle and soar; In the setting sun so blessed so free – As back I sit with worries and cares no more. I hear the rooks - so restless and tense they seem, They swoop and swarm around the copse behind; Above me now - so loud they screech and scream, Their shrieks and cries now pierce my mind! What makes my friends the rooks incensed, so wild? They see a world by humans broken, defiled!

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
