Sea Shell Song

Sea shell, sea shell, sing me a song of the sea,
the sound of the surf and sailors’ chanties,
the howl of the wind in a storm,
lilting lyrics that set a man free.

Sea shell, sea shell, sing me the lore of the sea,
of pirate ships and mermaids,
sunken vessels and treasures within,
salty stories to captivate me.

Sea shell, sea shell, sing me the life in the sea,
frolicking dolphins and singing whales,
glowing fish and stinging rays,
denizens wrapped up in mystery.

Sea shell, sea shell, sing me the plea of the sea,
we’re dying, we’re smothering with the rest of our Earth,
part of the havoc that man has wrought,
why can’t they just let us be?
