Darkness

Fletch
I fear the solitude of the night. I lie down beneath the faded stars and watch the soft white clouds streak across the gray sky. The Flower Moon casts magical shadows as the palms dance in the breeze. My heart is full, but my body aches as my thoughts swirl round my head. So loved yet so alone, I pray for sleep to ease the pain of longing. As each moment passes, I look to the East for signs of light. It is there that I will find the Dawn that will end the darkness and put away the pain, until the Sun sets on another day.
