eye of owl

CuldeSac
carpe diem is so damn new
it is as primitive as any other
both the fisherman and the hunter
would screw up their faces in question
ask them to seize the moment and seize the day!
'why, what do you mean, my good sir?
 know to seize opportunity
but the one who looks for flesh must know patience
it will be his greatest ally'
and so i guess it all depends
taken perspective depends on the era
even your view is contorted
it would be wise at this juncture
to get all fatalistic and start whining
we've been there and we've done that so
being a predeterminant
i thought that i would rather at least mention
do not listen to nay-saying
i advise you to reminisce
practice your mind so that you may be able
to swim within this ocean in touch
with us one by means of our dreams
like tendrils reaching out may taste the open
salty air which yet remains here
one should find anywhere enough
so go on and seize things like the day-moment!
remember unlike clarity
might be in determination
nothing in comparison with the mind's eye
you are blind when you are angry
and even though you are full-willed
you dream the hardest when you are in full rage
what would you be if you could dream
yourself being someone somewhere
