I WILL LOVE YOU

I WILL LOVE YOU
When we wake up,
by the banks of the Black Nile
You're my Queen of the Nile,
We’ll share home and hunt
our daily meals with crocodiles
…but still, I will love you
When you're Helen
When I’m Paris,
10 year war, 50 000 warriors
Over a thousand ships
We’ve caused a greatest war in Greece
…but still I will love you
When we are homeless
Our home is the cave,
When we crave, we'll make love on the rocks,
behind the falls of the “Mosi-Oa-Tunya” Falls
…but still, I will love you
When I’m “… a King
that loves his country so much,
every splinter of every grass
and every grain in the sand…”
I own nothing, only
a single grain of wheat,
in my hand
…but still I will love you
When we’re in greatest droughts
African Amarula trees,
Can no longer bare fruits
We’ll feed in their roots
When lakes are dried out,
in mornings we’ll drink dew
…but still, I will love you
When we inhale, exhale,
our breaths stink
in humid late evenings,
sleeping under the stars
listening from the far,
to tight strings of a Spanish guitar
When we’re street beggars,
in the ghettos of Mexico
…but still I will love you
Outlawed, outcast’d,
banned and exiled,
no longer loved
When we have nothing
Nothing at all, but our souls
…yet still, I…hey, will YOU love me?

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa... let me wear my armor first before y’all start throwing
stones at me… Ok, (close my eyes)…I’m ready.
And yeah … I’ll explain all this later, if I survived the stoning that is!
