Murdered Love

03 Jan 2007

seaman
From the lonely streets
We had picked our hearts,
cold and wandering.
The air was coated with love,
The urge was red.
We filled us in,
Till love filled the cups
of our empty, unexplored hearts.
With drops of intoxicating emotion,
Our hearts played the piano of satisfaction
As she painted me
with the rainbow of excitement.
In a flash, blue murder they screamed,
Against our future, our love was murdered.
The crime we committed was color,
She’s white, I’m black.
