THE MIGHTY ZULU_Izibongo zikaBhejane’ phum’esiqiwini
Unkomo zal’ ukwanda kwelakithi KwaZulu
Ngoba zalwe kwaMashu
Zalwe nguNob' ekuseni
Zalwe ngoyise kwaKhambule.
Isililo; abasikhal’ endlini kubo KwaYiphethe
Kakukhalelwa lutho boNdaba
Kukhuluma nje kusendlini kubo kaNtunjwa.
Ubhush’obhukhali
Ubhush’ obhush’ amadoda
Uncwadi zaphum’ ekhikhini
Kwakungelikanina, okaMathathela
Umngom’ okhasel’ emthonjeni
Abangom’abanye bekhasel’ entendeni.
Beziqongoqongo
Ubuxhakaxhaka ngobemikhonto
Buxhakaze ngamadoda aseHlophenkulu
Kuye kwabuz’ usayitsheni obevel’ Emapangeni
Wathi: kwenzenjani madoda kithi KwaZulu
Bathi sibang’ inkunzi yakithi okaMathathela.
Inkosana bayikhiphe nyova ekhaya kubo kwaDlamahlahla
Bethi kasayikubusa okaSenzangakhona
Kanti okaNdaba uzokubusa uzokunethezeka.
Iphume maqede; inyathi kaNdaba
Yath’ iphakathi KwaZulu, KwaNongoma yawajik' amabombo
Yabuka uMaDuma
UMaDum' edl’ umhlanganiso
Izinkomo zikaMaDuma zawafaka phans’ amakhanda
Zabuka abafowabo kwaMshanelo
Ufezela kaNdaba onophaph’ekhaleni.
Hlanga lwamKhosi!
Hlanga loMhlabathi!!

TRABNSLATION
The cow that was refused production in our land KwaZulu
He was denied at KwaMashu
He was denied by Nobe in the morning
He was also denied by his fathers at Khambule
Wailing was heard at his family house, at Ziphethe / Yipthethe
There was nothing people of Ndaba
It was just a chat at his family house at Ntunjwa.
The sharp curving knife
That curved men
A book from a pocket
It was of his mother’s, of Mathathela
A diviner crawled on the fountain.
The summit of summits
The rattling of spears
Performed by men at Hlophenkulu
That was questioned by a sergeant from Empangeni
He said: “What’s going on my fellow Zulu men?”
They said: “We’re fighting over our home bull, the one of Mathethela.”
The heir was taken out backward from his home, at Dlamahlahla
Saying, of Senzangakhona would not reign
Yet, of Ndaba would reign and prosper.
The buffalo of Ndaba came out
He then changed his direction when he was at the heart of Zululand, at Nongoma
He turned to MaDuma
She (MaDuma) was devouring the battle
The cows of Maduma put together their heads
Then they looked at their brothers at Mshanelo
The scorpion of Ndaba with a tail on the noise!
Hallowed Reed of Kings!
Hallowed Reed of the Land!
