A pause to introspection
Leader I, but by others’ whispers only as I stood in the crowd obscured. Can I lead or must I always follow? “the man” or just “a man” among many, with a sheep like existence my fate? what sobering descriptions have I cast upon myself ... I lead and others follow with desire but can I offer greatness, purpose, reason empty words, meaningless for would others follow a soul such as I Is my self-importance simply a delusion my feeble hopes of conquests, dissipating and in the cosmos of confusion in the dank darkness of regret what truths have I for such as I Have I visited upon myself, to myself the realities of principles the intrinsic value of significance To weigh myself against myself Against “the self” So as for fear, I challenge it because of my conviction Jealousy because of my integrity comparison because I am unique!!! “the man” or just “a man” among many ... unlikely, for dawn broke upon my senses In all its glory brilliant without delusion and to introspection, it brings a pause Follow The Man! The Galilean! The Carpenter! let Him lead me, my thoughts, my actions And others shall follow by desire that which I've become ... Leader
