To my father.

CuldeSac
Like a fluttering of something silver your mind...
Shifts in one oceanic spar, endless sparkling azure.
Searches directionless surf, an empty cobweb filled firmament.
And the sky is a royal blue, but the sun is missing, father.
I know... I know you are lost,father,
And the spiders are clawing their way across your mind's eye...
Like a shivering of something warm your spirit...
Shifts in one autumn sheet on a heath with no trees.
Searches for caves in pockets without depth or sleeves.
And the wind has an earthly scent without recollection.
I know... I know you are alone,
And there are no paths, no clouds, no place of protection...
But there is something left yet that shimmers through this dark wall!
I do not know it, but my faith cradles it.
Your soul is your deliverance and it can not fall.
Eternity and endlesness do not bind it.
For your inner warmth was in the heart of us all,
Our hands became your nest and like a dove,
It came to flutter, shiver and took up flight into Heaven...
