They are strong and not a toy
They can make you happy in a single second
They can mean the start or the very end
Words can put you on a high
Words can hurt you or make you cry
Words have a strength like no other
They can find you a friend, a sister or a brother
Without words could you face the unknown
Without words would our feelings be shown
Words can be used to say things like 'I love you'
They can be lies or they can be true
Words can describe things a million miles away
Without words we'd have nothing to say

Or to give a captive man the hope to be free
They can change tragedy into hope
They can give you the strength to cope
A single word can change someone's life forever
They can throw you apart or bring you together
