GrandFather

GrandFather
Yes grandfather
I see the flowers where they bloom,
On a hill near your tomb.
I pick one for Love,
and One for pain..
The rest for memories
that still remain.
I still recall laying in your lap,
while you would sing and I would nap,
And when I'd wake with weary eyes
to your smile in my memory lies.
And you would talk in childish ways
to make me laugh, to make my day
and i can still hear you laughing now
in my memory remains somehow..
I often wonder how life would be
if god had left you here with me
instead I'm left with just sweet memories.
Yes Grandfather,
I see the flowers where they bloom
On a hill near your tomb
I planted One for Love
One for Pain
The rest for memorys that still remain.

I wrote this for my grandfather when i was 12...it was the 1st poem I wrote..I was 5 when he died..I have wrote a thousand poems since but this is still my favorite as he is still in my heart..Thanks for reading this...
