Angel Wings

29 Apr 2009

hellfire
too often
you torment
these winding corridors
of my beating heart
spilling
heaven’s breath
upon thedelta springs
of a new tomorrow
you, me
floating down
these velvety soft ribbons
of endless rippled bliss
until the jagged cliffs
reveals
a sun-kissed waterfall
like a serpent tongue,
as it hissed
and should I offer you these
borrowed angel wings
glistening
under the amber-orange sun
for that fleeting moment,
would you come and
fly with me?
