A season of paradox

as autumn 
slumbers
on heavenly steps
and winter
dies
a silent death,
exhaling
its icy breath
I drift silently
among angels
exquisitely wrapped
in the aromatic decadence
of spring
while summer 
impatiently
taps
her sun-soaked feet..
