About the Author
From U.S., El Paso Poems 272
I have been writing poetry since my late teens. My usual topics are: society and politics, introspection, spirituality, nature and relationships. I have achieved some modest publishing successess, including 3 chapbooks and 3 books. Among the writers I admire are: Jimmy Santiago Baca, Luis Rodriguez, Carolyn Forche, Primo Levi, Ed Two-Rivers, Miklos Radnoti, John Brandi, Langston Hughes, June Jordan, Anna Akhmatova, and Kahlil Gibran. A diverse group, I admit- but I am drawn to "poetry of witness"...
