God Speaks

When life is overwhelmed with
Disappointments and despair
When my heart's been left in ruins
And I need someone to care.

When it all is going wrong
And the world's aloof and cold
When I fret and wish I knew
Everything the future holds.

When I wish I could see Him
Just a moment this one time
And wish I could feel his hand
Firmly holding on to mine...

In the silence and stillness
I can faintly hear Him say
In a voice, soft and loving,
"My Child, all will be okay.

You cannot see the future
Nor understand it as I do
But trust in me completely
For I know what's best for you.

I know each fear you harbor
Your deep pain I keenly feel
I promise if you let me
All the wounds you have I'll heal.

I know the walk at times is hard
But put all your trust in me
I'll give you grace to endure
And lead you on to victory.

At times you don't believe it
But I hear each word you pray
And when you feel it's too much
I'll give you strength for each day.

When your sky becomes so dark
And when nights are the longest
I hold your hand the tightest
And my love for you is strongest.

When you feel so tired, feeble,
Agony is cutting through
Winds and waves don't let you stand
In my arms I'll carry you. 

I am always by your side
Though my face you cannot see
Even when you feel I'm not
That is where I'll always be.

Place your hand upon your heart
When you want to feel me near
I am He who day by day
Keeps the faithful beat you hear.

All your breaths are by my pow'r
By my love you meet each dawn
It's this power and this love
That will always help you on.
 
Don’t give up and don’t let go
Night will soon turn into day
If you just have faith in me
I’ll make ways where there’s no way”.
