The Voice of Flowers...

All of creation
holds
an abundance of
gorgeous gifts-
an overflow of magical
exuberance-
none are foremost
though some are special.
And so it is
with these givers of
solace
and joy,
these rainbow-hued
petaled jewels
visited by butterflies
- equally stunning.
They are the glory
of any garden
an accompaniment of lovers,
catalyst for poets, artists.
Were they to speak
would it be as the sound
of
Heavenly harps
or the voice of angels,
of some radiant, fairylike being?
Would it be a tinkling
of celestial music
a likeness of violin and flute?
I feel it would exceed
any mortal orchestra
any maestro's most
pinnacled
oeuvre.
 Lulling to our ears
bearing us beyond
even a beatific
bliss.
