A Tortured Embrace II

With this blade, you pierce my heart,
With its ornate handle,
Crafted byskilled hands from yourfinely entwined lies,
And edged in deceit,
You try to cut the ties between us.
The tip of your blade,
So sharp, it seems to cut through the air,
Seems so much more vicious,
As if my doubt, myquestioning if you ever cared, pulls the point together, 
As sharp,sterile and uncaringas a hypodermic needle.
As you point it at my chest,
And flourish what you seem to have held back for an eternity,
I take one glance at you,
And I feel no anger, no reduction in the desire to hold your body against mine,
Almost no emotion at all.
Synapses fire, nerve endings crackle into life,
My mind races and my heart skips a beat,
I realise what this means.
And the only thing I feel, the only thing I fear,
Is that the blade with which you crush my hope, will be the end of you too.
I will not let you destroy yourself, 
For your life is too precious and your love all I desire,
Soif I have to keep fighting until your blade runs me through,
Until the handle sticks out above my breast and my face is close to yours,
I will endure the pain.
I just want to hold you, to support you, to fix you,
I step forward as though nothing ever happened,
Just to be able to touch you,
To enhale your scent,
To stare into those eyes for that one final moment.
In my minds eye, I look at what we had, what still could be,
And driven mad by love I lunge for you, to protect you from yourself,
Foolishly inpaling myself on the dagger of dismissal you wield.
Your blade, your doubts, your love for another,
They sink deeper and deeper into my chest,

I have never know pain like it...

Life slows down, there is no hole where my heart should be,
But there is no longer anything,
As if the touch of the blade runs my blood cold,
And the music in my heart has stopped,
Yet I still fight for you.

Thepain is almost too much too bear,
Yet I would endure pain tenfold to this.
And give anything for one more chance to tell you I love you.
