Depravity
On the planet of the apes, I declare myself a man, my honor is unshakable andhere I make my stand. On theplanesof diplomacy the casualties are climbing, aspecies always growing lost, the media always blinding. My brain questions the widom, my heart questions the facts, and my i.v. feeds me medicine, for my social heart attack. The ink now stains the paper instead of making words, and rather than lead the flock, our men now join the herds. My enemy is faceless, my shackles are too strong, and I'm forced to fall asleep, to the lullaby of bombs. Where there's a cause there's a martyr, Where there's smoke, there's a flame, Where there's fear of being punished, there's technique to spreading blame. The devil owns the castle, but the fool now wears the crown, and only when we're buried will the horns of glory sound. The failings of the many waste the toil of the few, and the man who's standing silent knows there's little left to do.
