"My Thinking Chair"
My Thinking Chair (a Villanelle) My dearest memories come so sweet WhileI linger in my “Thinking Chair"... Where children gathered round my feet. In ev’n tide we’d come to meet each little face so bright and fair... My dearest memories come so sweet. Squeals and laughter here did greet They knew their parents love and care... Where Children gathered round my feet. Discovering frogs and snakes was neat Caught with joy inside their lairs. My dearest memories come so sweet. Lemonade stands helped beat the heat! Dirt devils come, and don’t play fair Where children gathered round my feet. Dancing princess, school track meet, Joys of weddings filled the air My dearest memories came so sweet, Where children gathered round my feet. IlaMae (Ike) Stucki (c) revised 3/3/12

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake...
