The only pain to love
(c) Troy Jones 2008 As a seed, I break out and become A tiny branch, strong and young. Thus I grow, Though I know not what's to come! As a branch, I press on, reaching tall And what's more, I feel for love. To and fro, My branches grow where I want! As a bush, I am wild no one comes Un-descipled, I come undone. So I go, All alone with no harvest of my own! As a curse, I cry out, In a plea Some one help me make more seeds. Let me grow, These hidden blessings in me! Snip on the sin, That entangles, strip me bare Shake my death, clip me clean. Let me show, Budding branches scented sweet! As a tree, I can give and become A source of life, to everyone. Now I know, That pruning is the only pain to love!
