I thought for a second I saw a form standing there like before, for a quick minute and then it was gone, leaning against the darkness waiting for someone, maybe no one lingering whispers just out of reach smoldering ashes fall to the ground one by one, and in an instant nothing there. like the song I used to know and hold so close so many years ago, fragmented flashbacks tease this soul meandering around the far recesses of my tortured mind searching for answers, needing to find the way back, to the beginning of this reverie the way it was meant to be, laughter and sly smiles when you needed me like I needed you. at the end of each alluring day you filled my world and now I sit alone with thoughts to myself silence echoes in this lonely house...
