She Moves Me
The earth moves me changes my colors sharpens my senses prepares me for my reincarnation. She heightens me lifts my heaviness elevates my intentions and then drops me into the far seas of vast possibilities... It's easy to get distracted with a pair of broken wings starring at the birds flying free thoughtlessly above me. A piece of me dies, too with every falling leaf shedding faded memories, blurry faces, and worn out beliefs. Bare and alone she throws me out into the nights of long darkness and the days of cautious breathtaking. I trudge through grays and through thick slush and icy haze and sometime past midnight my soul leaves for a distant place. I dream of Spring and of working wings and of a lost bird in a cage somewhere transforming in grace.
