Friend to friend

I know how hard you are feeling now,
and how hard life can be.
This poem is to remind you,
that you have a friend in me.
I won't tell you to lie,
or to smile and be brave.
The path to true happiness,
alone you can pave.
I wish all your dreams come true,
just for you.
I see the tears well in your eyes,
andI wish that you would see.
Every time you hurt yourself,
you're also hurting me.
