To You From Me

When you open your eyes at the light of dawn,
Feeling contentment forever gone;
When you're watching the rain fall from the sky,
Reminding you of the tears you cannot cry;
Living? You're surviving instead.
Doubts and questions overflow in your head.
When you're drowning in silence and broken dreams;
And from lonely depths your heart screams.
When you look in the mirror and heave a deep sigh;
You throw back your head and sob out “Why?!”
When the ones you most trusted are the ones you now fear;
They've stabbed your heart with daggers and spears.
Those who you loved shut the door in your face,
'Cause now in your life they're wanting no place.
You lean on the wall with your knees to your chest,
You're desperate for love, for peace, and rest.
When your shattered heart echoes “I can't go on.”
Life's not what it was and it's all gone wrong.
When all of your hopes seem forever dashed,
And folks can't seem to look beyond the past.
They watch and wait for you to stumble and fall,
Making you feel so helpless and small.
You struggle to stand on life's slippery floor,
Just to be knocked off your feet once more.
Your heart's pining somewhere else to be,
And darkness ahead is all you see.
When your heart is heavy and your spirits low;
When you feel no one understands or knows.
You just don't fit in this strange new place
You're regretful, unhappy behind the smile on your face.

When you need someone your heart to appease
You need the key that your soul frees
In times like this, in moments like these....

I'll tightly be holding you close to my heart. 
I'll send my angel to comfort you while we are apart.
To stroke your hair, breathe hope in your ear,
To patch up your world and to always be near.
I'll send my angel to keep watch over you,
To take my place and help you through.
So when days are blue and nights so long;
In the shadows of your soul rings that mournful song;
As your room basks in the moon's soft light,
Remember while you fall asleep tonight,
My guardian angel will be there with you,
Till the morning light shines on the frosty dew.
May you hear the whispering of her hovering wings
Till the robin once more his song he sings.
And you see the new horizon- a fresh new day;
Hang on a little longer; it will all be okay.
God's in control; He knows and understands,
Even if you feel that no one does or can.
Whatever happens, there's someone who cares,
Because in spirit I will always be there.
Soon all these days will be left behind.
Till then, you're in my heart, my prayers, and mind.
Nothing lasts forever. Even pain cannot stay.
Remember you're never alone, is all I can say. ♥
