The darkness is broken, As a great silvery disc Slips out of the Earth And into the night sky, It rises, And rises, And rises. The world lets out the breath It held in anticipation. The night comes to life With the sounds of the wild. They had all been waiting For Luna's permission I stand awed, I stand marveling, It is breathtaking, This Moonrise is beautiful
