Am I The Only One
My soul drips with the tears Of those lonely dreams of the ultruistic, I close my eyes and gaze through my magic mirror Seeing visions of a better place, a real place Where we could go if we could just come together, But am I the only one? I see the transparent metallic crystal lattices Of buildings thousands of feet high, I see different races, species, and genders All interacting happily, working together, I see them embracing their differences And using them to learn and create, But am I the only one? I read works from those who are heralded As the forefront of imagination But their stories are of war and excess As I complain and seek a better future, "That's what people like," they say My soul drips with the tears of an altruist's broken heart Why does it seem like I am the only one

Mental Journey
I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
